My name is Emily Bostrom. I’m 19 years old & just finishing up my sophomore year at the University of Wisconsin-Madison… but if you’re reading this, you most likely already know that. I love to laugh, I love to sing & play guitar, I love my dog. I’ve got the cutest niece in the world, I love my family more than anyone. I live off of junk food and don’t like exercising.. oops.
The most important thing about me? I’m following Christ with all I’ve got, no matter the cost. I know that I am a child of wrath, sinful in nature, and worthy of nothing. I know that while I was at my worst, Christ died for me so that I am holy and pure and able to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. I am unlovable, but I have been saved by love immeasurable. With that, I feel strongly that God is leading me to go to Southern Africa this summer & fall. This means giving up a semester of school, family, friends, showering daily, clean clothes, Starbucks, my dog 😉 … but I’m so ready to do it because I know that this will be a trip that changes my life. I know that God has amazing things in store, and I’m anxiously awaiting seeing what they are.
Details:
With a group of roughly 15 other young adults, I’ll be traveling from Phoenix,AZ to South Africa to Mozambique to Lesotho between July 7 and December 22. In order to get there, I need to raise a grand total of $8,800. If you want to help, talk to me or check out http://www.experiencemission.org, click the Donate link, and then Sponsor a Volunteer. It should be easy from there.
If you have advice, have prayer requests, are praying for me, have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. I love hearing from people (even if I haven’t talked to you in a loooong time… ESPECIALLY IF I HAVEN’T TALKED TO YOU IN A LONG TIME!) & I want to know about your life and what God is doing while I share with you what He’s doing in mine.
In a nutshell that’s my story… what’s yours?
